Work Your Abs

With all of the different workout plans that are available, it becomes nigh on imposssible to choose which one will be the best one to follow when trying to get your abs into a ripped 6 pack. After all with all this information it can be hard to work out exactly where to get started and what is in fact the best way to work your abs.

When you start working to these muscles, what you have to do, is remember that all routines will work for you to a certain degree whatever you choose to be aiming ito do lots of reps or just a few using light or heavy weights, using a machine or a stability ball, the thing is it will work until your body gets used to it, then it needs to be challenged again in a different way to keep the progress going.

When working your abs, ideally, you want to start with using your own body weight in a stable way and then ramp it up to using weights on an unstable surface. If you do this then you will find results improve because when you are on an unstable base, this forces all of your core muscles to work, especially the really deep ones that do not get called in to play much when you are using a stable basewill cause even the deepest of your core muscles, which generally do not get called in to play much, to work.

If you are unclear as to what I mean by doing floor work with a stable base, then this is simply doing your crunches on the floor. To make it unstable, you would progress to doing crunches on something like a gym ball, which really forces those muscles by trying to make you stable, and you then ramp it up even more by adding weight into the mix

Now to get the ripped six pack look you are going to need to do a weighted movements, I mean you can always achieve a flat belly that looks slim with no abs showing, however, that is not really what we are trying to achieve. That is why we need to add the weight into the mix, as we are going after the ab muscle itself and the only true way to develop this muscle is by using a machine to do weighte crunches, or getting on a ball and doing the crunches holding a weight. Also, when performing the rep, it is important that the exercise involved forces your upper abs to crunch onto your lower abs. The reason for this is to maximize the burn and get the full development of the ab muscle.

Although there are ab workouts out there for the lower abs and the upper abs, really you should just think about working them both out at the same time whenever you train your abs. The reason I say this is that you cannot totally separate upper and lower, so why not just focus on working them all in the first place. However if you do feel that you want to work out the lower abs on their own then exercises like leg raises will certainly help. Also, just as before, if you want to you can progress leg raises from stable, to weighted to unstable to unstable and weighted

Just like the other muscle groups in your body, you need to know how often to train your abs, after all you may well know the body works best when it is fully recovered from the previous workout. So bearing that in mind, train them as often as you want as long as you are recovered.If you are finding you are not making any gains, then you need to start resting more as you may be overtraining.

The final word on this is that although you can do these exercises, abs are often hidden under fat, so to get the best results you need to watch your calorie intake and also ensure you have cardio work in your routine as well to help burn off fat.

If there are crevices in the walls, water will push through even if the basement walls are waterproofed.
 
This type of problem doesn’t usually go away because the pipes that are supposed to take away the excess water gradually worsen over time. Many times there is simply no access to these pipes which is a huge oversight. Basement waterproofing is also applied to the external walls of the basement to try and keep the water out. Usually this is called a tanked system.

If you want to find out if you have water inside the concrete block of your walls simply tap a hole into the concrete block, near the floor, and see if you have water coming out of this block then you may want to consider a drained cavity waterproofing system this system drains the water from your walls, much the same way you just did, by adding drain holes in the bottom blocks that allows those areas to drain into a type of interior french drain system. Water is controlled, collected and allowed to flow through hidden drainage channels either to natural drainage or to a sump pump where the water is removed away from the property.

Basement waterproofing systems are superior because they are installed internaly, have easy access ports for removing silt, and can be installed in basements where other methods have failed.

Construct Habitable Space In Your Basement Even with The Impediments To A Remodel

A lot of basements in Bloomfield don’t have enough head room to create habitable space. Jakarta is the capital of Indonesia, and is on the island of Java. The population is about 10 million. Dominant religion is Islam in Jakarta, and the currency is the Rupiah. In Jakarta the climate is very hot and humid. For the six months from April, the air temperature will hover around 30 degrees Celsius. It was rainy season from October to February, it’s a little bit cooler and there is lots of rain, often torrential.

The City of Jakarta was born in 1527, when a small town called Sunda Kelapa  was occupied by Prince Fatahillah,The King of  Cirebon and he renamed his conquest Jakarta, the translation as a Great victory. The city was again in 1619 renamed to Batavia under the supervision of the Japanese during World War II. Martial law was declared in 1957 and the period of unrest followed. At the end of the ninety-ten of nineteen, with the collapse of the economy and a widespread opinion about corruption of government, chaos happened in Jakarta, where 500 people died and more political tensions and social developments in the region.

Thus, Jakarta maybe is not the first choice for travelers, but in recent years the facilities for visitors have improved considerably and there are enough luxury hotels, good restaurants, shops and nightlife. Of course, there is another traditional architecture and tourist attractions and diversity of operational when we discuss about Jakarta. It is a mixture of modern and traditional, rich and poor. The Nations motto is unity in diversity, and also the local language has two types: a word of the elderly was born and raised in the city, while others are young and immigrants.

National monument, known as “MONAS” obelisk is 137 meters high, where visitors can climb for a view of the city. Demolition

Introduction

Taking down old buildings and replacing them with new is a process that has been going on for thousands of years. The destruction of buildings might have occurred during battles or attacks on towns; or due to natural disturbances such as earthquakes or volcanic activity. The resultant ruins would need to be removed and rebuilt. So the idea of demolition would have come about where a population wished to re-inhabit a specific area or site. Preserving the past – preparing the future.

In a country like Britain with very dense populations per square mile, there is a limited amount of land available for construction. The land between built up areas of the villages and towns is known as Green Belt and is protected from development to preserve the agricultural and natural heritage which is vital to the economy of the country.

The outcome of this policy is that there is a constant shortage of land for housing and industry, so the developers have to be more creative when providing structures for the population. One of the ways of doing this is to find places where the buildings are no longer commercially viable or have been abandoned, and re-use the area for different purposes. These areas are known as brownfield, or greyfield sites. In some cities, particularly Leeds and Manchester, the old warehouses or factories have been converted into apartments, retaining the original shell and reconfiguring the internal dimensions into desirable living accommodation.

Brownfield sites are disused industrial and commercial facilities where the land may be contaminated with hazardous waste or pollution. They are potentially valuable for significant redevelopment once they have been cleaned up. Greyfield sites are urban properties that have been underutilised or abandoned, but do not have the environmental issues of brownfield sites. They were termed greyfield sites because of large areas of asphalt that covered the land. These sites are valuable because they already have the infrastructure such as water, sewage, electricity and gas in place and do not need remedial work to develop the site.

When a structure is to be removed there are different ways of approaching the task. The size and construction of the building, the new use of the site and whether there are valuable elements suitable for re-use, will all determine how it is to be demolished.

Traditional Demolition

Traditionally, once all the services were disconnected, the machinery and men would go in and just knock down the walls which caused the roof to collapse and then drag all the remains away. Any concrete hard standing would be broken up ready for removal. The traditional excavation procedure would involve the clearing of rubbish to landfill sites. However modern demolition practices are very controlled and are subject to strict planning, safety and monitoring regulations.

Small structures such as two or three storey houses can be dismantled quite easily with hydraulic excavators and bulldozers using an undermining process. The walls are undermined at the base, in order to topple the structure; at the same time the manner and direction of the fall is controlled. Clean-up and safety issues are also taken into account when determining how the building will be undermined and demolished.

Larger buildings such as tower blocks and chimneys require more specialist techniques, and are outlined below.

Deconstruction

A new approach to demolishing buildings is deconstruction – a green approach. The aim is to diminish the amount of waste going to landfill sites by carefully preserving valuable materials for reuse. The work may be a painstaking task of dismantling by hand – brick by brick – or beam by beam. The reclaimed materials are then recycled or re-used for future buildings. The results of deconstruction can save in excess of 90% waste from going to a landfill site. When the farmer opposite to my house sold his farm yard with barns for housing, the builder demolished the barns, cleaned up the bricks and reused them for the perimeter wall of the farmhouse. At the time I was looking for some rubble as a base for a path and the builder let me take several barrow loads off his pile.

Recycling

Historically when old buildings were ruined from disuse or war damage the local people would gradually remove the stone and use it to build their new structures such as houses or barns. Hadrian’s wall between Carlisle and Newcastle has mostly vanished because after the Romans left, the local population made off with the beautifully dressed stone the Roman craftsmen had used in the building of the wall. So even in those days people understood the value of recycling because it was much cheaper than having to quarry and dress the stone themselves.

At one time the rubble resulting from a demolished building would be taken to a landfill site for disposal. Now however concrete can be rapidly broken up with the latest machine called a guillotine and the resultant rubble can be crushed and used as sub-base material for the foundation of the new building which is to replace the old, or sent to other construction sites. These days this crushed rubble is called 6f2 crushed stone or 6f2 crushed material.

Modern machinery and techniques allows the demolition companies to efficiently segregate waste types on or off-site. Wherever possible construction materials are recycled and re-used in the new structure. Recycling of waste contributes to a considerable savings in project costs and is good for the environment.

When we renovated our bungalow 20 years ago the builder, who was a bell ringer, found an old beam from a bell tower that was being renovated, and after carefully treating it, installed it in the kitchen. It gave the room some badly needed character and has never needed any further treatment.

Copper pipes, wiring, roof tiles or slates, floor tiles and doors, and wood panelling are some of the valuable objects that are saved for recycling and re-use. There are specialist yards in many towns where reclaimed old or antique artefacts are available for purchase.

Tall Buildings

With demolition on high buildings expert techniques are required. In some cases a wrecking ball on a crane may be used to demolish the top part of a tall building until it is down to a manageable height. However this process is rarely used by professional demolition companies today due to the uncontrollable factor of the swinging ball and the proximity of other buildings.

Other methods of demolition of tall buildings are by implosion using explosives, controlled collapse and piecemeal. Also ‘High Reach’ demolition excavators are used where explosives are not suitable. Once the building is down to a more manageable height demolition continues in the usual way.

The steeplejack Fred Dibnah became famous in the late 1970′s for his work on demolishing tall chimneys without the need for explosives. He would cut an ingress at the base of the chimney, use wooden props to support the brickwork and then burn the props so that the chimney toppled hopefully in the right direction.

The tallest building to be lawfully demolished was the Singer Building of New York in 1967/8. More recently the collapse of the World Trade Centre after the 9/11 attack in 2001 demonstrates the terrible devastation that could occur if the demolition is not controlled and very carefully contained.

In the demolishing of tall buildings and large structures water hoses and spray equipment is used to control the dust and would is termed a wet demolition.

Explosions

What comes to mind for many people when they think about demolition would be the dramatic collapse of a tall building using explosives. However it is usually the process of implosion, using explosives, that brings down a tall building so that it does as little damage as possible to the surrounding environment. Implosion is essential for dense urban areas and is very fast, the collapse taking only seconds, with the building crashing inwards into its own footprint.

Using explosives is specialist work and is a very skilled process and getting it wrong can be devastating. If an implosion is not prepared correctly the danger may be damage to neighbouring structures or even killing onlookers from flying debris. Even more dangerous is a partial collapse of a building where the remaining structure is unstable and there are still primed explosives that failed to go off. Workers are in great danger if or when continuing the demolition.

Other dangers of working with explosives occurs when the atmospheric pressure from low cloud above the implosion site will cause the shockwave to spread outwards instead of upwards. The wave of energy and sound created will break windows and cause other damage to the surrounding buildings.

Demolition of any building is highly dangerous and is a much more complicated and technical process than most people would realise. Anyways, I went for Casa Encantada, which was surprisingly peaceful, it had a tropical paradise that completely surrounded the villa, an enticing and breathtaking sandy beach and the most charming roof top observatory.

The villa is located in Jade Bay, a mile from Akumal’s bay. I was astounded by the wide offerings of villas for rent in Riviera Maya, they all were first class villas overlooking the Caribbean with wide common areas and appealing outdoors. They all had turquoise beaches up front, which was relieving for us and for the demanding job.

Luckily the shootings were perfect as expected and our team was very satisfied by their results and also by the sights, it was truly amazing to be working in Akumal Mexico on the side of that alluring turquoise water.

Introduction

There are people who have some worries about the impact of promotional balloons on the environment and safety issues of printed promotional items and around the effects of working with latex. The oxidation is sometimes visible as a cloudy appearance when balloons are exposed to outdoor conditions, direct sunlight and heat. However research shows that latex balloons under varying conditions take about 6 months to decompose so they are even suitable for composting.

Reputable balloon companies should only use bio-degradable latex these days. For example, all balloons produced by B-loony, the UK’s largest manufacturer of printed promotional balloons, are made from bio-degradable latex.

It is estimated that 90/95% of balloons released rise to an altitude of approximately 5 miles at which height the cold will cause the balloon to become brittle and shatter in to miniscule pieces. Balloon bits are unlikely to cause harm on landing, even if ingested, as the latex and the dyes used in latex colouring are non-toxic and completely bio-degradable.

Regulations on Balloon Releases

The UK’s Balloon Trade Association NABAS, is very aware of its responsibilities to the environment and has issued a Code of Conduct for balloon releases giving advice to ensure the protection of the environment. Only natural rubber latex may be used for balloon releases. Balloons must be hand tied and labels attached are required to be recycle-able paper. Plastic valves or wire should not be used.

Any Large balloon event of more than 5,000 balloons requires permission from the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) which has to be applied for in writing at least 28 days before the event. The CAA like to be informed also for balloon releases of up to 5,000 balloons.

A short time ago I was looking for a balloon which had a 90 printed on it because my grandmother is ninety this week and we are giving her a big celebratory party. However there were no balloons in the store where I was looking, that had any number above 60. Maybe the suppliers of printed balloons don’t think people over 60 want to be reminded of their age. I did think it would be a good idea to have a balloon which could have the number you want attached once it is inflated. The proteins naturally present in latex may cause allergies either through direct contact with skin or by inhalation of a powder. Latex gloves may be powdered with cornstarch which attach to NRL allergens causing them to be airborne and possibly inhaled when the gloves are used. Those most at risk are health care workers who use latex gloves on a daily basis and those undergoing multiple surgical procedures.

Some people experience irritation to the skin on contact with NRL but it is not a true allergy but rather an irritant contact dermatitis. Sensitised people however may discover they have an allergic reaction when in direct contact with balloons. Other individuals who may have an allergic reaction are people who already suffer with atopic allergic diseases such as hay fever, asthma and some irritant skin conditions or a history of certain food allergies of banana, avocado, kiwi and chestnuts.

If you are prone to any of the above conditions then it is probably not wise to work in a company producing items made from NRL. However cornstarch is not used as a de-tack powder in the manufacture of toy balloons. Instead they are lightly coated with an inorganic filler such as calcium carbonate diatomaceous earth and clays which do not bind to latex proteins. Natural Rubber Latex is a very cost effective material that is widely used throughout the world and for the majority of the populace there is no form of clinical risk.
